Roman Reigns (c) vs Jacob Fatu — World Heavyweight Championship

The main event of WWE Backlash 2026 match card. Roman Reigns won the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk in a 33-minute classic at WrestleMania 42 Night 2, and Jacob Fatu wasted no time challenging for the title. On the Raw After WrestleMania, Fatu confronted Reigns and demanded a championship match at Backlash. Reigns told Fatu he would give his answer the following week.

On SmackDown April 24, Fatu doubled down by defeating Solo Sikoa in the main event, destroying the entire MFT single-handedly, and sending a message to Reigns. Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker

The grudge match born from betrayal. Breakker returned from hernia surgery at WrestleMania 42 to cost Rollins his match against Gunther, delivering a devastating spear. The following week on Raw, Breakker revealed he only joined The Vision because he needed access to Paul Heyman. Rollins challenged Breakker to settle it at Backlash, calling him “Baby Steiner” and declaring that Breakker isn’t even the number two Steiner in his family. Breakker accepted.
