SmackDown Results Barcelona: Full Segment-By-Segment Breakdown
Rhea Ripley And Jade Cargill Open SmackDown Barcelona — Cargill vs Bliss Made
The show opened with WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley addressing the Barcelona crowd ahead of her Clash in Italy title defence. Jade Cargill interrupted with Michin and B-Fab, and the two traded verbal shots about who wins on Sunday in Turin. When Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss arrived to even the numbers, the confrontation turned physical. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis stepped in and booked Jade Cargill vs Alexa Bliss for later in the night — giving Cargill one final opportunity to make a statement before the Women’s Championship match in Italy.
Axiom def. The Miz — Hometown Hero Wins In Barcelona
The feel-good moment of the night. Barcelona’s own Axiom defeated The Miz in front of his home crowd at the Olímpic Arena to a thunderous ovation. The Spanish luchador controlled the match with his speed advantage, and the Barcelona crowd was behind every move. Axiom secured the pinfall to cap off a special moment — a Spanish wrestler winning on WWE television in Spain. Danhausen’s curse continues to haunt The Miz, who has now lost to Danhausen, Axiom, and multiple opponents since the curse was placed.

Jade Cargill def. Alexa Bliss — Violent Post-Match Statement
Cargill defeated Bliss in a competitive match, finishing with the Jaded. But the real story was the post-match assault — Cargill hit a second Jaded on Bliss onto a steel chair, leaving Ripley’s ally writhing in pain. The message to Ripley was unmistakable: Cargill is willing to go further than anyone to win the Women’s Championship at Clash in Italy. Two days before their title match in Turin, Cargill has now pinned Ripley clean at SNME and destroyed her closest ally with a chair shot in Barcelona. Ripley enters Italy as champion but as the clear underdog in momentum.
Trick Williams Announces King Of The Ring Entry — Hayes And Saints Confront Him
Before the match, United States Champion Trick Williams took to the ring with Lil Yachty and the bedazzled “Trick Stick” kendo stick. Williams announced he has entered the King of the Ring tournament to compete for a world title shot — effectively undermining his own United States Championship by chasing a bigger prize. Carmelo Hayes immediately interrupted, rightfully pointing out the absurdity of a champion abandoning his title picture. Ricky Saints then appeared as the third man, and the segment devolved into a three-way verbal exchange. Williams slapped Saints, setting up the match.
Carmelo Hayes vs Ricky Saints — Double Count Out
The match of the night in Barcelona. Hayes and Saints delivered a hard-hitting, athletic contest that earned the loudest crowd reactions of the entire show. Saints controlled early with stomps, a jumping knee drop, an Old School, a scoop slam, and sustained offence that kept Hayes grounded. Hayes fought back and connected with a massive diving DDT from the corner that drew gasps from the Olímpic Arena crowd.
The finishing stretch was outstanding. Hayes hit the Dirty Diana perfectly, but Saints kicked out. They traded strikes from the mat to their feet before Saints landed a knee to the gut and a suplex. On the top rope, Hayes shoved Saints off and attempted a Frog Splash — Saints got his knees up and hit a Northern Lights Suplex bridge, but Hayes kicked out. Saints then connected with a modified Sister Abigail before pulling Hayes over the top rope.
The match spilled to the outside — Hayes landed a senton over the top rope, got sent over the barricade, then flew back with a diving clothesline. The referee counted both men out as Saints went headfirst into the steel steps. After the bell, Saints attacked Hayes and attempted the Roshambo, but Hayes escaped and hit the First 48.
The double count out is the perfect setup for a triple threat — Williams vs Hayes vs Saints for the United States Championship is now the obvious direction, either at Clash in Italy or the next SmackDown.
Chelsea Green vs Nia Jax
A match between two women looking for direction after recent championship losses. Green has been rebuilding since the Secret Hervice dissolved following Alba Fyre’s release. Jax lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship at SNME and is without a partner after Lash Legend’s status remains unclear.

Sami Zayn def. Matt Cardona in hard-fought SmackDown clash
Sami Zayn picked up a clean win over Matt Cardona after landing the Helluva Kick in a competitive back-and-forth match on SmackDown Barcelona tonight. The contest featured multiple momentum swings, with Cardona drawing strong crowd support and coming close to victory after connecting with the Rough Ryder.
The match began with technical exchanges before spilling outside the ring, where Cardona gained early control with a sliding kick and missile dropkick. Zayn answered with chops and suplexes, but Cardona continued to push the pace, nearly sealing the match with a double-underhook powerbomb and another Rough Ryder attempt.
Late in the bout, Zayn countered Cardona’s offense into a sit-down powerbomb before surviving a Rough Ryder thanks to a rope break. The finish came after Zayn knocked Cardona off the ropes, delivered an exploder suplex, and followed it up with the decisive Helluva Kick for the pinfall victory.
Despite the loss, Cardona impressed throughout the match and received praise for another standout performance to the SmackDown results tonight at Barcelona.

MFT (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) def. Damian Priest & Royce Keys — Solo Sikoa Costs Priest Again
R-Truth was not medically cleared to compete, so Royce Keys stepped in as Damian Priest’s tag partner against MFT in an unusual arrangement — one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions teaming with a non-champion against their main rivals.
Keys and Tama opened with Keys dominating — a snap scoop slam and running shoulder tackle sent Tama reeling. Keys and Priest flipped Talla over the ropes early, establishing control. But Keys became the worked-over man after Talla hit a big slam, cutting off the ring and isolating Keys from Priest. Tama tagged in and continued the punishment before Keys connected with a devastating sit-down Spinebuster-Chokeslam combination that looked like a match-ending move.

Instead of covering, Priest got the hot tag and cleaned house — a diving clothesline from the top rope planted Tama for a near-fall. Keys knocked Talla over the ropes. The finish was pure MFT chaos: Solo Sikoa distracted the referee and spiked Priest from the outside. R-Truth ran to ringside to help and got attacked. Keys made the save and also got jumped. In the ring, Talla hit the T-Bomb Chokeslam on the defenceless Priest for the pinfall.
The WWE Tag Team Championship situation on SmackDown is increasingly chaotic — Priest and Truth can’t find a clean match against MFT, Keys keeps getting pulled into the crossfire, and Solo Sikoa’s interference ensures MFT wins by any means necessary.
Cody Rhodes / Gunther — Final Clash In Italy Build
The headline segment of the SmackDown results from Barcelona. Rhodes is set to address Gunther’s attack from SmackDown May 22 where The Ring General choked him out with the Gojira Clutch while Sami Zayn refused to help. With their Undisputed WWE Championship match at Clash in Italy just 48 hours away, this is the final confrontation before Turin.
