The headline match of WWE SummerSlam 2026 and the feud that has been protected for years. Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins was confirmed on Raw June 29 in Atlantic City when Rollins delivered one of the best promos of the year — telling Reigns he owes him everything, referencing their Shield origins, beating him at WrestleMania, and helping Cody end his reign of terror. Rollins gave Reigns a choice: accept and cement his legacy, or live knowing he never beat Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns called him little brother and accepted.

Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, sending him into retirement. Lesnar returned at Clash in Italy and beat Femi, evening the score. The third and final chapter plays out inside the cell in Minneapolis.
Lesnar demanded the Hell in a Cell stipulation when he accepted Femi’s challenge on Raw June 29. He ambushed Femi during his King of the Ring celebration, F-5’d him, and walked out. CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes — Undisputed WWE Championship
CM Punk returned to Chicago on Raw July 6 and won the Undisputed WWE Championship from Sami Zayn after Cody Rhodes was unable to compete — Gunther attacked Rhodes in the parking lot before the show. Punk hit a Helluva Kick into a GTS on Zayn for the pin and walked out of the Allstate Arena as champion for the first time since 2013. The Undisputed title picture takes shape at SmackDown July 10 from Oklahoma City with Punk, Rhodes, Gunther, and Zayn all in the building.
CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam has been building since the Raw After WrestleMania 42, when Punk confronted Rhodes and made clear he intended to pursue the title. Rhodes held the championship then. Punk now holds it. The symmetry writes itself.
