Logan Paul is injured and will be out of WWE action for several months after suffering a torn tricep at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. WWE confirmed the Logan Paul injury on Monday’s Raw from Columbus via lead commentator Michael Cole, with footage showing the exact moment Paul was hurt — catching a dive from Angelo Dawkins during The Vision’s World Tag Team Championship defence against The Street Profits.
Here is everything we know about what happened to Logan Paul, how long he will be out, and what it means for the World Tag Team Championship heading into Clash in Italy.

Logan Paul Injury Update: How Did Logan Paul Get Hurt?
Logan Paul tore his tricep during the SNME World Tag Team Championship match on May 23. The injury occurred when Paul caught a flipping senton from Angelo Dawkins to the outside — Paul immediately favoured his left arm after the spot and wrestled through visible pain for the remainder of the match. Initial reports suggested a possible leg injury, but WWE later confirmed the torn tricep diagnosis on Raw May 25.
Despite the injury, Paul and Austin Theory retained the World Tag Team Championships that night thanks to interference from Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker.
How Long Is Logan Paul Out For?
WWE announced Logan Paul will be out “for months” but did not provide a specific return date. Based on standard torn tricep recovery timelines in professional wrestling, Paul is expected to be sidelined for four to six months, putting a realistic return window between October 2026 and January 2027. For context, John Cena suffered a similar tricep tear over a decade ago and missed approximately five months.
Paul will likely require surgery followed by an extended rehabilitation programme. WWE typically provides periodic injury updates on Raw or SmackDown broadcasts as recovery progresses.
What Happens To The World Tag Team Championship?
The World Tag Team titles are not being vacated. In a backstage segment on Raw, Austin Theory approached Paul Heyman about relinquishing the championship. Heyman refused — revealing that he had written into every Vision contract that the faction as a collective defends the Tag Team titles. This means Bron Breakker is now Austin Theory’s tag team partner and the reigning World Tag Team Champions going forward.
Theory immediately embraced the new partnership. He attacked Joe Hendry with a steel chair during Hendry’s “Fire Logan Paul” concert segment later in the show — sending a message that The Vision remains dangerous even without their most famous member. Bronson Reed, the other member of The Vision, is also currently sidelined with a bicep tear, leaving Theory and Breakker as the only active members of the faction.
The Freebird Rule — where any members of a faction can defend a tag team championship — keeps the titles relevant and gives Breakker a championship to defend alongside his singles ambitions. Theory and Breakker could defend at Clash in Italy or on the European Summer Tour.
